University-Enterprise Collaboration | Bosheng Medical Devices and XCMG Research Institute Join Forces to Build a Hub for Talent in Medical Polymer Materials
On December 18, 2025, Jiangsu Bosheng Medical New Materials Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the 45th Anniversary Celebration of the Polymer Materials Program at Xuzhou Institute of Industrial Technology and the Concurrent Polymer Industry Technology Forum, where in-depth discussions and exchanges were held on such topics as further refining the talent-development mechanism in the field of polymer materials and co-building the “Bosheng Medical Materials Class” model.
In 2024, Bosheng Medical Devices entered into a strategic partnership with the School of Materials Engineering at XCMG Research Institute. The two parties jointly signed an agreement to establish the “Bosheng Medical Devices Class,” under which they will conduct targeted recruitment from students majoring in polymer materials and innovatively implement an order-based talent-development model to precisely cultivate application-oriented technical professionals in the field of polymer materials. After one year of practical exploration, the “Bosheng Medical Devices Class” has achieved remarkable results in terms of talent-development quality and the mechanism for collaborative education between the university and enterprises, earning high recognition from faculty, students, and industry partners.
During the event, the Human Resources Department of Bosheng Medical Devices meticulously planned and hosted a dedicated corporate information session. The company’s Chairman, Li Ligong, attended in person and engaged in in-depth, highly productive discussions with leaders from the School of Materials Engineering at Xuzhou Vocational Institute of Industry and with students from the “Bosheng Medical Devices Class” on topics such as innovating school–enterprise collaborative education mechanisms and establishing internship and practical training platforms.
“As a leading enterprise in the pharmaceutical packaging materials industry, Bosheng Medical Materials has established multiple provincial-level innovation platforms, including the Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Research Center for Medical Polymer Materials. The company’s independently developed laminated butyl rubber stoppers and high-end infusion tubing have successfully penetrated international markets, while its biomaterial films now match the performance of cutting-edge international products, making Bosheng a key supplier of pharmaceutical packaging materials to many well-known domestic pharmaceutical companies,” said Li Ligong. He added that, leveraging its core technological expertise and brand influence, the company has achieved rapid growth in recent years. Sales and production volumes of its core products—such as butyl rubber plungers for pre-filled syringes, laminated butyl rubber stoppers, and biomaterial films—have continued to expand, significantly enhancing market penetration and geographic coverage. This, in turn, has created new opportunities and momentum for deepening university–enterprise collaboration and innovating talent-development models.
“By jointly establishing the ‘Bosheng Medical Devices Class,’ the university and the enterprise have deeply integrated their respective strengths and resources, effectively embedding corporate culture into university classrooms and aligning specialized skills with practical teaching and learning. This has successfully facilitated two-way empowerment: innovating talent-selection mechanisms while boosting the momentum for the enterprise’s high-quality development,” said the head of Bosheng Medical Devices’ Human Resources Department. The two parties will continue to expand the scope of their collaboration, deepening strategic partnerships in areas such as optimizing the practice-oriented teaching system, innovating targeted talent-development models, and jointly tackling core technological challenges. By building a new ecosystem of collaborative education between the university and the enterprise, they aim to achieve complementary resource utilization and shared outcomes, thereby laying a solid talent foundation for the innovative development of the enterprise’s medical polymer materials industry.
