Bosheng Medical Sets Sail Globally, Becomes China’s First Exporter of Infusion Tubing
Bosheng Medical, a subsidiary of SJZ NO.4 Pharma Group, has become the first Chinese company to export 12,000 meters of infusion tubing. On the morning of December 31, at its east plant, a container truck adorned with a red banner stood out in the sunlight. Batches of infusion tubing, wrapped and bearing the Bosheng Medical logo, were being loaded for shipment overseas.
“To ensure the success of this first export, we made careful preparations from production to delivery,” a company representative said while overseeing operations on site. Strict quality control measures were in place from raw material selection to final inspection to meet global standards.
“This first export means a lot to us,” the representative added. Infusion tubing is a key new product following items such as ready-to-use stoppers, cartridge plungers, insulin spacers, coated stoppers, and blood collection stoppers. The first batch export will help accelerate the company’s “three pillars” structure of rubber stoppers, films, and tubing.
In recent years, Bosheng Medical has focused on R&D and manufacturing of new pharmaceutical packaging materials. Its approach has been to “increase variety, improve capability, enhance quality and efficiency,” with a focus on rubber stoppers, films, and tubing. Infusion tubing, one of the key projects, underwent nearly a year of development and validation before receiving registration from the Center for Drug Evaluation of the National Medical Products Administration in September 2024 — a step that laid the groundwork for both domestic and international market access.
“Going forward, we’ll stay focused on our global expansion strategy, invest more in R&D, strengthen our innovation capabilities, and boost our international competitiveness,” the representative said. “We want to help more ‘Made in China’ pharmaceutical packaging materials go global and contribute to the international development of the industry.”
