Bosheng Medical Devices Wins the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in 2024.
Recently, the results of the 2024 China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Science and Technology Awards were announced, with the project “Key Technologies and Industrialization of Multilayer Co-extruded Single-use Biomedical Membranes for Medical Systems,” jointly submitted by Jiangsu Bosheng Medical New Materials Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, receiving the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress.
Over the past two years, Bosheng Medical Devices has remained at the forefront of the market, adhering to a new-product development strategy centered on “diversifying product lines, upgrading technological capabilities, and enhancing quality and efficiency.” The company has strengthened industry–university–research–application collaboration, further deepened the integrated mechanisms for industry–education and science–education synergy, and focused on conducting fundamental, innovative, and forward-looking research in areas such as rubber stoppers, co-extruded films, and cutting-edge medical packaging materials. By actively advancing new-product R&D and technological upgrades, Bosheng has significantly enhanced its capacity for technological self-reliance and strength, with a steady stream of innovative achievements.
“In research on the key technologies for multi-layer co-extruded single-use biomembrane systems, we have continuously optimized process flows and material formulations through molecular design and reactive blending modification, successfully achieving performance levels in domestically produced biomembrane products that match or surpass those of comparable imported products. This has provided reliable technical support and membrane-material assurance for the large-scale application of single-use reactor systems,” said the project leader. As a key new product launched over the past two years, the biomembrane has so far been granted three invention patents, received the “Top Ten Invention Products of Taizhou City” award and the Third Prize for Quality Technology from the China Association for Quality, been included in the list of “Key Science and Technology Support Projects of Taizhou City,” and been recognized by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology as a “New Product and New Technology of Jiangsu Province.” The product is now widely used by numerous biopharmaceutical companies and has delivered excellent application results.
“Going forward, Bosheng Medical Devices will continue to accelerate technological advancement and develop biofilms into the company’s flagship product,” said the company’s head. The multi-layer co-extruded biomedical film production workshop has achieved cross-departmental business collaboration and integrated control through the integration of an MES system with an industrial-chain collaboration platform, earning it recognition as a Jiangsu Province Smart Manufacturing Workshop. As a result, production efficiency, product quality, and safety have all been significantly enhanced, laying a solid foundation for expanding the company’s product portfolio.
According to available information, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Science and Technology Award is an authoritative prize established with the approval of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Office of National Science and Technology Awards, aimed at recognizing individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to scientific research, technological innovation, the dissemination of research outcomes, and the industrialization of high and new technologies within the national commerce sector.
